The hosts are a professional well-travelled couple in their 40s. Our interests include travel, hiking, skiing, swing and latin dancing, theater, photography. We are quite relaxed and tend to use the house as a quiet place to wind down, so you'll find that this is a fairly tranquil place (and if you are a party animal it is not a good match). This is neither a commune nor a party house – just a place that is big enough to accommodate another person while giving both him/her and us sufficient privacy.
You are a mature, responsible, quiet, clean and tidy person, non-smoker (no couples, sorry); preferably somebody who does not cook up a storm every night or has frequent visitors. You should be prepared to take care of cleaning/vacuuming of your bedroom and bathroom. We are happy to socialize and share some meals or a glass of wine if schedules and interests match, but generally you are expected to fend for yourself. Please note that this is a semi-vegetarian household (i.e. you can have cold meats in the fridge or meat takeaway meals, but you cannot cook meat/poultry/fish in the house). We are not looking for a vegetarian, just somebody who will not cook meat in the house.
We prefer somebody who wants to stay for a while (two months minimum); the place will suit a person looking for longer-term secure and comfortable place to live. There is no maximum length of stay per se, but there is a possibility that we may need the room vacated around xmas.
The rent is $180 per week plus your share of bills, which run at $30 pw and include all bills, internet, and landline calls within Australia (payable monthly). Bond is $850.

My daughter, our only child is 9 and is in Rosanna Primary school. She is studying Italian at school but English is spoken at home. We enjoy the cultural interaction with overseas students, so would welcome an international student into our home.
My husband who is a financial controller and I are busy at all times, so a student who likes the support of a family but can be independent and enjoys having the house to themselves at times would fit in really well.
I usually cook the evening meal and the student would be able to pack a lunch to take from the food supplied. We enjoy all kinds of food from different nationalities and would love to try new things. The student would be able to make a breakfast for themselves from a range of menu choices. I am happy to accommodate their reasonable dietary requirements. We have travelled widely overseas so love to get to know a student from another part of Australia or overseas.
