FINAL CUT PRO INTERMEDIATE - THE CRAFT OF EDITING

Knowing editing software is just one skill of the consummate editor. In this weekend workshop, you’ll learn the conventions of film and video editing (and how to break them); how to build suspense with pacing and shot selection; and what breaks (or keeps) audience attention. An experienced editor will discuss the history and theory of film/video editing and demonstrate editing principles through viewing examples. Complement your editing skills and craft your footage into a masterpiece through well-chosen shots that are paced and cut to reflect the story perfectly. Suitable for those familiar with Final Cut Pro, particularly those editing their own projects - participants are encouraged to bring in samples of their work for discussion.
